VC4 needed a surgical unit capable of supporting complex surgeries, endoscopic examinations, and other sophisticated procedures while meeting strict hygiene and workflow requirements.
Key requirements:
- Two operating theatres plus ancillary areas, staff rooms, patient rooms and consultation spaces within a 1,000 m² remodelled building.
- Surfaces that can withstand rigorous, frequent cleaning with aggressive agents.
- Large, smooth wall surfaces with minimal joints to support infection control.
- A calm, clean and upscale visual identity for international patients and demanding medical staff.
Hygiene and cleanability
- TopLab® Vertical offers a closed, non‑porous surface that does not support bacterial growth, a crucial feature in operating theatres.
