Trespa NL Project of the Month (October): Centrada, Lelystad

Trespa congratulates architect Naomi Even from HevoFame Architects and the entire Centrada project team on the successful renovation of the headquarters at Wigstraat in Lelystad. Thanks to their vision and collaboration, an inspiring and future-proof façade has been created that perfectly reflects Centrada’s identity. For this project, Trespa^® Meteon^® façade cladding was chosen, which is a durable and aesthetic solution that gives the building a contemporary appearance.

Centrada manages over ten thousand homes in Lelystad and the surrounding area and plays an important role in housing within the region. The organization is known for its people-oriented approach and flexible attitude toward social developments. After twenty-five years, the façade of the headquarters was due for renewal. The existing cladding had started to discolor and come loose, prompting the creation of a new design that strengthens Centrada’s identity and ensures a future-ready appearance.

Architect Naomi Even from HevoFame, who has been involved in various Centrada projects for many years, developed a new façade concept in which experience, appearance and sustainability are central.

After further exploration, the decision was made to opt for a design featuring Trespa^® Meteon^® Lumen, combined with Trespa^® Meteon^® Uni Colours. This choice provided the desired balance between design, quality and sustainability.

The choice for Trespa façade cladding was a natural one. The Trespa^® Meteon^® panels offer a unique combination of aesthetic variation and technical performance. The design includes four different Trespa^® Meteon^® panels in one colour, each with a distinct finish. As a result, the façade’s appearance changes depending on the time of day, light and weather conditions.

“Our new façade radiates a high degree of plasticity,” says Arno van Grootheest, Project Leader for New Construction at Centrada. “Depending on the sun, the season and the weather, the building looks different every time. This dynamic character fits perfectly with the identity of our organization.”

In addition to its visual quality, Trespa^® Meteon^® offers exceptional durability. The panels are weather-resistant, colourfast and vandal-resistant. Thanks to these properties, the façade requires little maintenance and will provide long-term protection without losing its appearance.

The execution of the project was carried out by Salverda Bouw from ’t Harde, a long-term partner of Centrada. The installation was completed with great precision by H&S Montage from Wierden. During the work, Centrada made a warehouse opposite the office available, allowing preparatory tasks such as priming and degreasing to be carried out without causing disruption.

The delivery of the Trespa panels was handled by Jongeneel Zwolle. Thanks to the precise coordination of account manager Chiel de Rijck, material waste was reduced to less than ten percent, ensuring an efficient and sustainable execution.
