Trespa Meteon panels clad Chilean Biennale's main entrance
Estación Mapocho Cultural Center, Santiago
Facade intervention for the XVIII Architecture Biennale 2012 of the eastern front elevation of the Estación Mapocho Cultural Center in Santiago de Chile.
This architectural intervention hosts the reception program and establishes a limit between the exterior plaza and the general mounting of the exhibit, generating a threshold and limiting three entrances to just one. These volumes were cladded with Trespa® Meteon® panels, creating a variation of color that gives a third dimension to the intervention.
The execution followed a prefabricated construction to save time and resources, because in total there were only three days to mount it on site! The panels were CNC cut and labeled in advance.
