The New York Design Centre
Trespa International BV, is proud to announce the opening of The Trespa Design Centre in New York City.
Located on Greene Street in the SoHo area of lower Manhattan where numerous architectural related firms are based, the new Trespa Design Centre will offer a unique environment or American architects. In addition to being a showcase for Trespa panels, design concepts and other Dutch products, it will serve as an inspirational place for architects and designers to meet, network and collaborate—more of an experience than a showroom. By offering meeting rooms, free internet, printing facilities and other benefits for architects, designers and their clients, it is the ideal place to share ideas, work and learn. The Trespa Design Centre will also serve as a prime location for meetings, seminars, design events and product exhibitions.
The interior of the Trespa Design Centre was designed by Hans van de Schoot of Studio Schoot in the Netherlands, who has spent over 25 years creating inspirational spaces, showrooms and exhibitions around the world. The well-known practice of Gage Clemenceau was commissioned to be the local project architects. Their work has been featured in Chicago’s Museum of Art and New York’s Museum of Modern Art.
The Trespa Design Centre also features products from other well-known Dutch suppliers, including Forbo flooring, Brand van Egmond lighting, Berkvens doors, Tichelaar Makkum ceramic products and Ahrend, Bcrea and Montis furniture. Additionally, it will also showcase products designed by Li Edelkoort, Hella Jongerius, Piet Hein Eek, Job Smeets, Evelyn Merckx, William Brand, Arnette van Egmond, Wijtse Rodenburg and numerous other famous Dutch designers.
The Trespa Perspectives concept will also be encouraged at the Design Centre. Trespa Perspectives is a fresh new source of inspiration for architects, designers and specifiers—a means to stimulate new ideas and realize new designs. By visiting http://perspectives.trespa.com and clicking on “Projects”, users can meet others whose imaginations have been inspired by the Perspectives concept and who have created some of today’s most exciting building façades.
