Trespa Virtuon has an exceptional hygienic surface. The composition and the character of the decorative surface make it impermeable to moisture, dirt and micro-organisms.

Virtuon is manufactured using the proprietary EBC technology developed by Trespa. As a result of this process the decorative surface is extremely smooth and closed. It is the combination of this surface with the equally impressive core that gives Virtuon its unique and special product characteristics. The smooth, impervious surface deters bacteria and prevents the growth of algae, moulds or fungi.

Lasting Reliability and Hygiene

The photographs shown have been taken with the aid of a Scanning Electron Microscope. They clearly demonstrate the difference between a surface produced with Trespa EBC technology (Trespa Virtuon) and a surface of traditional melamine. The melamine surface clearly shows cellulose fibres. The surface structure of Trespa Virtuon does not contain any cellulose. This provides for Trespa Virtuon's lasting reliability and hygiene. Even the last remnants of dirt can be easily removed.
